Survival Tip of the Week 2 – Using Dryer Lint as Tinder in Starting a Campfire

dryer-lint-for-starting-a-campfireYou would never know it but every time you empty your dryer’s lint trap you throw away valuable tinder starter.

Yep, that’s a fact you can easily use lint, steel and a piece of flint to ignite the lint which is basically natural and synthetic fibers which ignite easily.

I am a “lint saver” myself and keep a one gallon zip lock baggie next to the dryer and put lint in it since its clean and usually easy to compress that one gallon baggie can hold enough to start up to 250 fires and weighs only ounces.

It’s not rocket science folks its cheap, it’s light weight and most of all it works.
