Why People Choose Getting a Defense Tactics Education

Ever wonder about a getting a job teaching defense tactics?

Just how much schooling is required and where do you go to get it?

First, you have to understand what defense tactics is and isn’t.

There are two separate kinds of defense tactics – empty hand and armed.

Empty hand defense tactics or self defense is the most common. It employs the use of your hands and feet to thwart an attack meant to harm you disabling the adversary.

Armed defense tactics employs a firearm, edged or blunt edged weapon used to stop an attack killing or injuring the attacker making it impossible for them to continue the assault.

Both choices require a specific skill set but the second one is messy and if your squeamish about blood I’d stick to the empty hand version.

There are several programs out there that teach relevant and practical defense tactics enabling the practitioner to complete courses so they can teach and train others.

One such organization is the United States Police Defensive Tactics Association (USPDTA) the oldest privately held law enforcement and defense tactics training group in America. Founded 33-years ago by an Ohio Truant Officer Ray Szuch it has been transformed by Dr. Ric Black into a global entity called the World Defense Tactics Association with affiliates in over 50 countries.

The USPDTA has trained over 500 police departments, thousands of martial arts students, US Army Military Police and Department of Defense Security Personnel in the Ukraine and is employing training programs in Europe.

In 2014 it formed the Defense Tactics College the first private school formed to train and legitimize Defense Tactics Trainers with a comprehensive 120 hour – 3 week program covering all empty hand tactics against unarmed and armed opponents.

Getting an education requires the students learn the psychological, mental and emotional parts of dealing with an aggressive attacker since the act is violent, barbaric and filled with fury and often the opponent’s adrenaline is pumping and overcoming him will not be easy without proper training giving you that needed edge to defeat or subdue him.

It’s about practical use, easy-to-learn and remember and effective techniques so you can train people to go home safely after the completion of their daily job.

If you pack your food in buckets with mylar bags the less ccnahe there is of light and oxygen getting in, especially in powdered milk which will turn yellow and lose vitamins. I have stored food in the buckets for several years without mylar bags, but quite honestly, the plastic can become porus after three to five years and then you need to repack them.. You really need the rubber seal in the lid for safe storage. Also, I wouldn’t use feed grain, you want highest quality food.
